Health
Before breeding, it is important to carry out several health checks on both sire and dam. The
Canine Health Information Centre has
the list of recommended health checks, and if you know the registered name of a dog you can look up its test results using the search function.

Kepler's CHIC page is here. She has now passed all her tests.
Cassini's CHIC page is here. He's had the DNA checks done but the rest of the tests have to wait until he's two years old.
We provide a copy of the health records for both sire and dam with our puppies, along with a pedigree listing, although a good source of such information is the Worldwide Leonberger Database where the history, and many of the health records, of dogs can be researched.
